2010 continued to provide many challenges for the real estate market, but we continued to succeed in producing the best results possible for our valued clients and customers.

Some good news worth considering:

Buyers are returning from the sidelines. Like most other Florida regions, Central Florida was impacted by the recession.

But Central Florida in particular is expected to recover first and fastest, and lately we have been seeing signs that just such recovery is forming. Buyers are returning from the sidelines.

Buyers are using the Internet. Ninety percent of all home sales in the U.S. start with an Internet search. For sellers of existing homes, a strong Internet presence is critical. Recently StirlingSIR.com - Stirling Sotheby's International Realty's web portal - was ranked by an independent research firm as one of the most popular real estate web portals in Florida, with more than 1.2 million page views annually by people from more than 150 countries worldwide.

Many buyers are paying all cash. We are seeing many more all-cash buyers in the market today, which we can attribute in part to the global interest in Central Florida homes.
